Dr. Robert Barone was named as one of the 2015 “Top Doctors” in the annual San Diego Magazine “Physicians of Exceptional Excellence” survey.

Dr. Barone completed his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1966. He served his internship specializing in Surgery at the University of Illinois and served his residency specializing in Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospitals. He had a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics. He is Director of Surgical Oncology Services at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and Society of Surgical Oncology.  Dr. Barone is a special investigator on a number of cancer treatment protocols. His practice is limited to surgical treatment of breast, colon, rectal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue cancers.

Dr. Robert Barone has been practicing medicine since 1976 specializing in Surgical Oncology and is board certified in Surgery.
