Richard A. Parker, DO, FAOASM

Dr. Parker received his D.O. degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He served a rotating internship at Sun Coast Hospital and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center.

Dr. Parker has 35 years of medical experience. He is board certified in Family Practice by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine (CAQSM). He is the Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program at San Diego Sports Medicine, and he is the past president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. Dr. Parker holds faculty positions at the University of California San Diego and San Diego State University. He serves as team physician for San Diego State University Varsity Athletics and is the former team physician for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball Olympic Teams, the San Diego Gulls, and the San Diego Soccers.
