Dr. Mark D. Smith was named as one of the 2015 “Top Doctors” in the annual San Diego Magazine “Physicians of Exceptional Excellence” survey.
Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1984. He served his residency at the University of California as well in Ophthalmology. He completed his Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Retina Vitreous Associates in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Smith specializes in Ophthalmology and has been practicing in San Diego since 1989. He treats patients with management of complex retinal detachments, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. he has been named as one of The Top San Doctors in San Diego.
Dr. Mark D. Smith is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
