Dr. Ryan is a coastal Virginia native from Hampton, Virginia. His love for sports started in high school, where he played baseball, wrestled, and golfed. He completed undergraduate training in Biology at Virginia Tech (2013). He completed medical school training at VCOM in Blacksburg, VA (2018), where he was a member of the sports medicine club which sparked his interest in sports medicine. He completed family medicine residency at LSU in New Orleans, LA (2022).
Dr. Ryan completed sports medicine fellowship at Virginia Tech Sports Medicine/VCOM in Blacksburg, VA (2023), where he served as team physician for Virginia Tech Athletics, Radford University Athletics, and local high schools. He is currently a team physician with San Diego State University and local high schools.
His interests include osteopathic manipulative treatments, treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and orthobiologic injections like platelet rich plasma (PRP) to treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
